Recent New Orleans vacation rental reviews

We had four adults stay at the property and there was plenty of room for everyone. The beds and pillows were nice and comfortable; perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking. Everything was clean and tidy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The location was close to all the attractions. The average Lyft fare was $13. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

It had a lot of space.

The location is great for activities downtown. The house is great. However, parking on the street is the only draw back maybe because I am not used to parking on the street. However, the street is not congested.

New Orleans neighborhoods and history

To figure out New Orleans, you need an understanding of the city’s various neighborhoods. Perhaps most famous is the French Quarter, the part of town where visitors and locals alike come to see live jazz, feast on Cajun food, and admire historic architecture. The world-renowned Bourbon Street can be found here---a bucket-list destination for partying and people-watching.

Just beyond the French Quarter, you’ll find Bywater and Treme, both historic, residential neighborhoods featuring some of New Orleans’ cutest, most colorful houses and condo rentals. Be sure to bring your camera when you’re strolling these walkable neighborhoods. Treme’s importance to African-American history makes it a culturally significant area, and certainly one worth visiting. Farther south, the Uptown District and Garden District are home to some of the city’s best dining, scenic tree-lined streets, and homey vacation rentals.

Mid-City and the Central Business District are bustling with modern restaurants, bars, and shops. Peruse the Museum of Art and sculpture gardens in Mid-City, or grab a cocktail at a rooftop bar Downtown.
